I'm pleased to welcome you to our new website that combines the former Computing Services and Academic Technology Services websites into one. The intent of the design is to provide the Franklin & Marshall community with easy-to-find, useful information about ITS services and how to get help with using your computer and technology tools in your daily activities at the College. The main sections provide information about our supported services and many "how-to" guides to what is availabe, as well as an opportunity to learn about and comment on our future IT iinitatives.

Based on the recommendations of the Presidential Commission on Information Technology Report from May 2005, we have taken measurable steps to re-invest in IT at the College. What follows is a brief summary of what has transpired to date and what we are working on.

I?m pleased to announce the Offices of Computing Services and Academic Technology Services will now be known as the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS). The new name better reflects the breadth of services that we provide in partnership with members of the Franklin & Marshall Community. These services and their underlying infrastructure are designed to enable and enhance the teaching, research, learning and administrative collaborations at the College through the effective and responsible use of information technology.

The overarching goal of the reorganization is to provide improved service in the following areas:
? Supporting web services that reach out to external audiences
