Information Technologies Services, through its Media Services team, provides audio-visual equipment for classroom use as well as support for general campus needs. Media Services also provides digital media production equipment for creating course projects and electronic instructional materials.
Classroom Use:
If a Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC) is not available for your course, Media Services will provide A-V equipment to certain classroom buildings on campus for classroom presentations, individual scholarly endeavors, and recognized extracurricular activities. Faculty must complete the Media Equipment Request Form, available from Media Services, at least 24 hours in advance of the requested class session. Faculty requests can also be made by telephone, campus mail, or e-mail.

Current Franklin & Marshall students and staff may borrow A-V equipment for recognized activities that support the mission of the College. Student requests must be supported by a faculty member or organization advisor. The equipment must be picked up and returned to Media Services at the prearranged time. To make a request, borrowers must complete Request for A-V Equipment Form at least 48 hours in advance. These forms are available in Media Services. Equipment loans are made on the basis of equipment availability.

Equipment Loan:
ITS, through its Media Services team, provides special equipment to facilitate media production for Franklin & Marshall faculty and students for use in projects that support the mission of the College. Media Services also provides audio-visual equipment for class presentations and other College-related activities.
Training in the use of the equipment is the responsibility of the user and is provided by Media Services, upon request. If you are planning to use this equipment, please plan to receive your training in advance. Online QuickStarts are also available to help you get started using this equipment.
NOTE:
Equipment may not be borrowed for personal or entertainment use or removed from campus for use by community, non-profit organizations or businesses. MiniDV tapes for recording digital video must be supplied by the borrower. miniDV tapes are sold at the Campus Book Store. Only videocassettes with the mini DV logo should be used.
